PLIDA CERTIFICATION

(important notice)

With reference to the Plida Certification we are pleased to inform Maltese and non Italian nationals that the Academic Credentials Evaluation Board (ACEB), within the MQRIC (Malta Qualification Recognition Information Centre) has officially classified for local recognition purposes the PLIDA levels of certification as follows:

"The ACEB considers the above mentioned certificates as falling within the level descriptors, as shown below, of Malta's National Qualification Framework far Lifelong Learning as per Schedule, Regulation 11(2) (L.N, 347 of 2005).

Level 1 - PLlDA A 1 / PLlDA A 2
Level 2 - PLIDA B 1 / PLIDA B 2
Level 3 - PLIDA C 1
Level 4 - PLIDA C 2

The PLIDA Juniors Certification (VII) and the Commercial PLIDA (VIII) are evaluated in accordance to the levels achieved."

Dal primo gennaio 2007 la Società Dante Alighieri offre agli oltre 200.000 iscritti dell’Italia e dell’estero e a tutti coloro che vorranno tesserarsi, una serie di opportunità nell’ambito delle convenzioni stipulate con importanti enti ed imprenditori italiani.
Viste le caratteristiche dei soci della “Dante”, intellettuali, viaggiatori, amanti dei prodotti tipici del made in Italy e affascinati dal richiamo del turismo culturale, sono stati privilegiati da un lato i musei e gli alberghi, dall’altro le categorie artigianali.
Per il 2007 le convenzioni sottoscritte coprono gran parte del territorio italiano. Il Comitato di Malta si sta adoperando per ampliare il servizio anche a enti e imprenditori operanti sul territorio maltese.

As from January 2007 the Società Dante Alighieri is offering to its more than 200 000 members in Italy and abroad and to new members, a series of discount opportunities stipulated with important entities and businesses in Italy.

Due to the varied and wide interests and backgrounds of the Dante members, i-e. intellectuals, lovers of Made in Italy products, cultural tourism, there is a particular attention to Museums and hotels, together with a number of participants from the crafts sector. The offers cover most of the italian territory. The Malta Committee is also working to provide local discount offers to current and future members from Malta and abroad.

The Committee is pleased to announce that Merlin Library is offering all Dante members a 10% discount on their purchase. This is valid for all paid up membership card holders. So it is also time to renew membership for 2008. Contacts are under way for other services.

PARTICIPANTS RECEIVE AN SDA CERTIFICATE OF ATTENDANCE

Our internal yard, the adjoining rooms and the cellar are undergoing a refurbishment exercise which will transform them into a typical traditional Piazza meeting place atmosphere a typical characteristic in the paesini in the provinces all over Italy.
In part it is already in use. Parents and students alike are welcome to have a seat in the yard while waiting for their children or for their next lesson.
Drinks and Italian light snacks will soon be available and Dante (the Committee not the author himself!) will fulfill another of its roles; that of promoting Italian gastronomic culture….food, caffé, vino, e tante altre bontà dal Bel Paese.

After all the Società Dante Alighieri is Il mondo in italiano!
